Sumanta (Monty) Kumar Pal, M.D., is an internationally recognized leader in the area of genitourinary cancers, including kidney, bladder, and prostate cancer. He is a Clinical Professor at the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center and co-director of the institution’s Kidney Cancer Program. Dr. Pal entered college at the age of 13, began medical school at University of California Los Angeles at the age of 17, and after completing his residency training at UCLA, Dr. Pal completed a fellowship program in medical oncology at City of Hope where he has remained on faculty since 2009. Over that span of time, he has published more than 400 PubMed cited articles that have been featured in prominent journals including The Lancet, Cancer Discovery, The Journal of Clinical Oncology, Nature Medicine, Cancer Cell and European Urology.
