Marcio A. Averbeck is the Head of Neuro-Urology at Moinhos de Vento Hospital, Brazil (affiliated to Johns Hopkins Medicine International). Dr. Averbeck is a former EUSP Clinical Fellow (Innsbruck, Austria) and holds active participation in the European Association of Urology (Associate Member of the EAU Section of Female & Functional Urology), International Neuro-Urology Society (Treasurer), Brazilian Society of Urology (Head of International Affairs) and International Continence Society (Deputy-Chair of the ICS Standardization Steering Committee). He has authored dozens of Pubmed-indexed articles and book chapters in the area of lower urinary tract dysfunction over the last decade.
